Is the plot description's language too flowery?

[edit]

The tone of this plot summary seems too flowery and not neutrally descriptive.

For example, a phrase like "feral adult sons" is not literally accurate (they aren't literally wild animals). And the final line ("Providence smiles on the faithful, and their shepherds. The seed corn will go in before the winter rains") sounds like it was taken from a Western novel. It's an interpretation of the final scene instead of a description of it.

I will copyedit the plot and remove elements that are not descriptive unless I hear any objections. Jeremy Butler (talk) 13:39, 26 March 2024 (UTC)Reply

@Jeremy Butler i think the same user rewrote the plot summaries for several Ford movies in the same florid style, they should be reverted or rewritten. 24.24.165.230 (talk) 02:43, 7 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
That's unfortunate. Can you point me to specific examples? Thanks. - Jeremy Butler (talk) 16:10, 7 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
