Wadworth

[edit]

A dab such as a Wadworth (disambiguation) with content

Wadworth is the place in England.

Wadworth may also refer to:

{{disambig}}

is explicitly considered "harmless", i.e. generally not encouraged. Some editor considered the brewery worth an entry, presumably on the premise that someone will misunderstand the name, and not know enuf to look for (i presume) the beer by typing Wadsworth beer or Wadsworth Brewery -- tho it ignores the presumably more notable place).
I'm not inclined to create the Dab page bcz the place's article has a adequate HatNote, and while we should not present the clueless with dead ends, we don't need to create shortcuts for them.

Otis Limited acquisition

[edit]

This entry

* William Wadsworth, lift makers of Bolton, England, acquired by Otis Limited.

was the only reference not only to the lift company WW, but even to OL. OL is presumably a (non-notable) subsidiary of Otis Elevator Company. It's not impossible that someone doing some research can write an article or section on at least one of them, but Dab entries exist to get users to information, not to note the existence of what no one cares about enuf to do more than clutter the Dab.
