Proposed merge with Bombay Realty

[edit]

subsidiary of one of the Group's subsidiaries--too far down the hierarchy for a separate article DGG ( talk ) 01:49, 28 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I agree, Bombay Realty seems like a (minor) vanity article. Logical Cowboy (talk) 14:57, 14 June 2013 (UTC)Reply

The Wadia family's early history as shipbuilders deserves a high priority article. Over five generations (1736-1884) they built some remarkable and longlasting ships, including HMS Trincomalee (1817, oldest British warship still afloat), HMS Minden (on which the Star Spangled Banner was written), and many more, including most of the ships of the East India Company's Bombay Marine, the fore-runner of the Indian Navy.

Perhaps the answer is a new article "Wadia shipbuilders", with this present article merged as suggested. I would be happy to help with article on Wadia shipbuilders. Dmollison (talk) 13:37, 23 June 2013 (UTC)Reply
