Editing

[edit]

I have been attempting to correct/update the Wade College page. Every edit I make has been deemed unacceptable and removed--in some cases before I can even finish making the edit. I have cited sources, only to have the edit remove despite the citation; I have removed an old logo, only to have it readded. I don't understand the problem.Ladyk11111 (talk) 13:55, 1 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

The problem was this; not interacting. Please communicate as you just began to do. Use the "edit summary" and the TP so other users may easily understand what you are really doing or what you really are not doing. All the best. --E4024 (talk) 14:02, 1 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

I need to update a lot of outdated information about Wade College. How do I do this?

[edit]

We need major edits:

I need to update the following with more accurate information as the school has moved locations and there is other inaccurate information on the page. I need all the logos removed as they are old and inaccurate. The logo history is also irrelevant. Yall removed our new logo from the headline and replaced it back with the old one. It is damaging to have outdated information. Erin brocavich is also not a graduate it is inaccurate. D&M is also no longer a publication so it should be removed as well.

  1. Read and comply with WP:PAID. This is mandatory.
  2. Read WP:BOSS, and share it with your manager/ whoever asked you to do this.
  3. Read WP:V - everything you wish to add or change must be supported by a reliable source; and usually one that is independent of the college (though you can cite your own website for undisputable facts like the name of your principal, or your occupation)
  4. Read WP:NOT, and understand that some of the content you wish to include, such as details of SACSCOC, are not relevant in a Wikipedia article about the college.
  5. Make requests for changes using our Edit Request Wizard. These should be in the form "add X", "remove Y", or "change P to Q". It's better to make several small requests rather then one large on.
Also, please provide us with images of your campus, noting the requirements at c:COM:THIRD if you did not take them yourself. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:10, 25 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Quick notes.

Student activities

[edit]

I'm on the Fraternities and Sororities Wikiproject, and I've got Mu Kappa Tau on my watchlist, so every time this article cycles I get noticed. In regards to the Student Organizations. Currently it has MDSA, Phi Theta Kappa and Mu Kappa. The desire is for Phi Theta Kappa only.

  • For MDSA, that's local, so a primary source should be OK, I'm honestly not sure why they want it removed, but non-controversial
  • For Phi Theta Kappa, I found the page that Phi Theta Kappa has on PTK's webpage, that should be fine.
  • For Mu Kappa Tau, the current chapter list at Mu Kappa Tau is from an archived page from the Association of College Honor Societies from 10 years ago and after further research, I can't find anything one way or another.

So while the edit of the Student Activities is part of a larger problematic edit, I accept the changes and will make them separately

Accreditation

[edit]

For accreditation, I'm fine with the way that it is in the current article, CIDA should be kept as a link, although a redlink, it is a CHEA recognized accrediting body and as far as I can tell, wikinotable for that. Naraht (talk) 13:36, 25 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

History of the logo...

[edit]

That is *way* too much information on a logo for an article this size, does anyone want it kept?Naraht (talk) 13:39, 25 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
