I moved to central Vermont during that month, so I remember. I took a position with cross town WNCS and moved over to WSNO in October 1979. From late 1979 through the early 1980's, the weekday on-air line up for the country format included Bill Noyes (son of General Manager Al Noyes), Jeff Gill, Rick Russell, and Lonnie Allen. CBS news and features aired twice an hour. Frequently, there was local discussion with guests from 12:30-1 PM. The country format was quite successful during that time. I remember seeing a Burlington-Plattsburg Arbitron around 1981 or '82 where the station did very well even though its signal only covered a portion of the market.
