This article is dire. Quote. "As the name suggests, the actual communication between nodes is done using web services standards, notably SOAP." So web service standard (which is a document) communicates across a network. I though TCP/IP did that.

Where is a description of the services this standard defines, like Bye, Hello, Probe, ProbeMatch, Resolve and ResolveMatch. Also it isn't a complete MultiCast protocol standard, their is UniCast elements as well.

Also its not a protocol definition for local networks. Its specifically designed for WAN or Internet works.

This article needs a complete rewrite and I intend to do it this week. scope_creep 17:10, 12 November 2007 (UTC)

Moved the page to WS-Discovery

I moved the page from web services dynamic discovery to WS-Discovery as this aligns it with rest of the WS standards. I'm going to also update the article and put in the actual technical detail about Bye, Hello, Probe, ProbeMatch, Resolve and ResolveMatch services with some examples in c#, Java, maybe some other language like Ruby or Python. WS-Discovery vs. Web Services Discovery

What's the relationship between the two. My guess is that WS-Discovery is a specific instance of a more general Web Services Discovery. ~Kvng (talk) 23:24, 9 September 2016 (UTC)
