  • It is wikilinked on first mention.
• "Briefly called WFCE in the local press, it was WEDU by November" – I might do "Briefly called WFCE in the local press, it was known as WEDU by November". Also:
• If it was you would have probably added it, but I must ask: do we know what WFCE meant/where the name came from?
  • If I had to guess, probably from the name of the applicant with some letters transposed (Florida West Coast Educational). But I cannot say that.
• Wikilink NBC.
• I think "Over the course of 1959" can be "Over the course of the year" per the previous sentence, to clear up redundancy.
• "The staff grew from 11 people to 38 and later 50" – do we know in what years these were?

In this context I think it is better clarity-wise to then have refs 42 and 43 next to one another here, then 43 cited again for the following sentence.

• I think we can wikilink Florida's Department of Education.
  • It is wikilinked on first mention earlier.
• The sentence starting "New equipment, poorly maintained" concludes with a semi-colon but the following sentence is capitalised.

Channel swap attempt

• "enjoy access to almost all of the same viewers it had on cable systems; and it would" – should be a comma.

New ventures and new fiscal battles

• I think you should rephrase "The task of righting the ship" as an idiom that a lot of people may not understand.
• Mention Cincinnati as being in Ohio.
  • Left this alone because Cincinnati is a major enough city to not take a state in AP Style (cf the footnote in Wikipedia:Naming conventions (geographic names)).

(The other sections are all good).

Spotcheck

Passes on the refs I checked. Though:

• "the single largest contribution in station history" – I cannot see where the source mentions this; do you mean to say "the single largest contribution in the station's history"?
  • Yes, but this would be a common phrasing. I changed it for clarity though.
