WBHP (800 AM) → WBHP – This article was recently renamed to reflect a call change following the closure of former parent station WBHP (1230 AM). However, per the naming conventions in this topic area, frequency disambiguation is normally only used for defunct stations (which is true for the 1230 AM station, but not the 800 AM station). It is, in fact, more standard (when possible) for the current station to be at the base title, with a hatnote pointing to the earlier station. (I had intended for this article to be moved, at least in the short term, to WBHP (AM)WBHP (AM), but that was deemed to be too ambiguous under interpretations that did not take into account NC-BC.) As this is apparently controversial, an RM is required. WCQuidditch☎✎17:55, 30 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Support I am so sorry, I was not particularly familiar with this but saw the partially completed move so completed it then got another comment so moved it again. Support per the arguments put forward by nom. Casablanca 🪨(T)19:33, 30 August 2025 (UTC)Reply
Support This is how WP:NCBC is interpreted. Casablanca Rock, don't be ashamed; this is a topic area that has very quirky rules on how to title pages compared to other naming conventions, and this is one reason why. It is not uncommon to have to process KXXX → KYYY and KWWW → KXXX as moves at the same time. This is also why pages that are call sign–titled should be linked to directly with no intervening redirects. If you ever have questions in the future about NCBC, do not hesitate to talk to me.
