Translation

[edit]

Can somebody translate Volna for the non-cosmonauts among us? Captain Neutron 12:32, 30 December 2005 (UTC)Reply

Merger with Shtil'

[edit]

Shtil' and Volna are different designations for the same rocket. One should be merged into the other --GW_SimulationsUser Page | Talk 21:48, 26 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

I disagree, the Volna and Shtil are different carrier rockets. The Volna is based on the R-29R, can only be launched by Delta III subs and are almost a decade older then the Shtil, which are based on the R-29RM. This should be enough to warrant seperate pages.

Discussion

[edit]

Please discuss the merger here

I'd like to contest the following part of the article "Volna ("wave" in Russian), also known as Shtil'" As said before there are differences between the two. Both in launch platform and in operational version from which they are converted. It would be more fair to say that they are related, not the same. Shoogerbrugge 10:29, 23 November 2006 (UTC)Reply
