1st vs 2nd gear on the 4-speed models ... there seems to be an exceptionally large gap there, is not the 1st gear figure the maximum torque multiplication including the effect of the torque converter, with the actual gear ratio being something different? According to the ZF's reverse engineering, it is indeed the first gear with torque converter open. What Voith calls the 2nd is the 1st with converter locked, the 3rd the 2nd, and the 4rd the 3rd. Erkin Alp Güney 16:09, 8 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
