Merge not redirect

It should be titled "Visual prosthesis"

- Iridium oxide is maybe approximately an insulator (I'm not sure), but only a thin layer is used on the electrode which is probably made ion selective by this. I don't know the resistivity of iridium oxide, but it doesn't need to be low if the layer is thin enough (and very thin layers sometimes show resistivities different from bulk material). - I imagine you could simulate what somebody wearing these devices would perceive, but such examples would be meaningless. Perception isn't a picture in your head. I'd check out the references for each device. Maybe they have been simulated already. Famousdog (talk) 16:47, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

I removed the "Ethical Issues" section as the content sounded more like "The Politics of Research Funding". If someone wants to write about actual ethical issues I suggest waiting a few years to see if the blind community reacts to bionic eyes in the same way as some in the deaf community have reacted to cochlear implants. --94.22.119.188 (talk) 13:49, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

Dobelle Eye
