I, the author of this article, dispute that this article is in fact, about a person of significance in Hindu mythology. Vishrava is considered to be the father of the demon King, Ravana, the villian of the Ramayana, one of India's two great epics. While most people are aware of Ravana, very few are aware of his actual parentage. This page was created in an attempt to discuss Ravana's ancestry, esp. his father, the Rishi Vishrava.

Hello Admin,

This article's source is the Ramayana, the Hindu epic. It does not cite specific references because it would be akin to citing the Bible as a reference on an article about say, Mary Magdalena, for instance.

This article belongs to the category "Hindu Mythology".

Thanks,
