Expansion

I will try to expand this when i have time. The Tripitaka describes Visakha as the biggest patron of the Buddha along with Anathapindika and is thus an important figure. However getting information on her will be hard as female disciples of the Buddha are overwhelmingly under covered in secondary sources. Wikiman5676 (talk) 00:55, 18 March 2018 (UTC)

Century

Are there any estimates as the the century she lived in? Or even a millenium? The lead states she lived in the times of Gautama Buddha (c. 563/480 – c. 483/400 BCE), so presumably she could be added to categories for people living in 5th/6th century BC? --_{Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here} 08:26, 28 August 2018 (UTC)

The Buddhist scriptures are essentially the only historical documents that describe her, so whenever historians date the time of the historic Buddha. If Gautama Buddha lived 5th/6th century she probably lived 5th/4th century. as she was seven years old when the Buddha was middle aged. so she lived a few decades past the historic Buddha's death.
