Useful references, Gallucci (2016a) and Gallucci (2016b)

[edit]

Here are useful and current references.[1][2] I will try and return to integrate these into the article. RobbieIanMorrison (talk) 16:44, 2 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Demand Response

[edit]

The article isn't mentioning what might become the most useful part of a VPP; demand response. Need to find some good sources Digital20 (talk) 14:50, 15 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Useful resources for Australia

[edit]

It may not be enough (right now) to be worth mentioning in the article, but Victoria is running a trial program that is currently in the research stage until the end of 2024, at which point I would expect them to release some kind of statistics which would likely be worth a mention.[1] Dave247 (talk) 11:38, 2 August 2023 (UTC)Reply

Edit request: add 2011–2013 CyberGrid/Elektro Ljubljana VPP history

[edit]

Requesting the addition of the following sentence to the History section, with supporting citations, specifically after the paragraph ending in "Kraftwerke started in 2011, expanding across seven countries, aggregating biogas, solar, and wind.". This documents Elektro Ljubljana's early VPP deployment with CyberGrid and its subsequent mFRR participation with ELES, which isn't currently covered in the article. Happy to adjust wording or sourcing per feedback. Thanks for reviewing!

Proposed text to insert:

In 2011, the Austrian company CyberGrid deployed one of the early commercial platforms for managing distributed energy resources as a virtual power plant, first used by the Slovenian utility Elektro Ljubljana, making it the first VPP in Southeastern Europe.[1] In 2012, it began providing manual Frequency Restoration Reserve (mFRR) to ELES, the Slovenian transmission system operator, commencing operations in January 2013.[2]
