It seems the links to alternative languages point to 2 types of Madonna's, which are not translations of each other ... ! ( eg link to Dutch version is 'wrong') —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.11.247.119 (talk) 15:50, 8 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Our Lady or Mercy and Our Lady of Ransom are the same advocacy of the Blessed Virgin Mary. "Virgin of Mercy" is an inappropriate popularism drawn from Spanish and Italian.

not just image

[edit]

Isn't this also about a title used in Catholicism to refer to Mary? In other words not just an image, but Mary under a certain aspect.--Richardson mcphillips (talk) 17:58, 24 September 2017 (UTC)Reply

yes, this article has it backwards. It is first about the person, then about the image. 2607:FEA8:FF01:4FA6:6802:15CD:4B29:8D47 (talk) 20:42, 22 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Poland?

[edit]

Perhaps this article could also make some mention of the devotion to our Lady mother of Mercy in Poland and Lithuania 2607:FEA8:FF01:4FA6:904A:94E1:F5B9:FF85 (talk) 16:30, 16 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
