Duplicate content in this article and Vientiane city article
[edit]There is content here which I believe rightly belongs under Vientiane city. Particularly the History and Landmarks sections. Users are likely to visit the Vientiane city article first and may not necessarily visit the Vientiane Prefecture article.
For History, all but the last paragraph of History would rightly belong in the Vientiane city article. Or better still, a History of Vientiane subarticle might need to be created. This could then be linked from both main articles to avoid version differences which have now arisen in the texts.
And for Landmarks, this info is something a user would expect to find under Vientiane city. But some landmarks do pertain to the prefecture e.g. Buddha park. Again a subarticle is likely the best course.
