Merge

[edit]

Merge this page into Vibrator (mechanical). The only difference between the vibrators used to compact concrete and the vibrator in my cellphone is a matter of scale. They both spin an eccentric weight on a shaft in order to vibrate. Douglas W. Jones (talk) 14:20, 31 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Correct, for the operational principal, but other considerations apply. Cellphone vibes are a special application that greatly outnumber all others combined, yet are normally invisible. It's a big enough topic for its own little article. Jim.henderson (talk) 04:36, 2 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Since no merge has taken place and because the article is unreferenced; an orphan and imparts no infomation that could not be guessed from the title alone, I would say that this article is ripe for deletion. Any thoughts? 109.149.154.239 (talk) 18:47, 18 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
