Corrections
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello, I am Jamie, I am the new representative for Verizon on Wikipedia. The previous rep has stepped away and briefed me on proper conduct, including not directly editing and rather to make requests such as this one.
For this request, I noticed that there are a few facts that need to be updated on this page.
First, Tony Skiadas is listed as the CFO in the infobox, without a source, however his title includes Executive Vice President as well. While this is a primary source, I believe it should be permissible to verify this noncontroversial fact.
Second, the infobox lists the net income as $17.17 billion, however of Q4 of 2025, it is listed as $17.61 billion.
Please let me know if this needs further elaboration. Cheers, VZJamie (talk) 14:27, 9 March 2026 (UTC)
- Noting that the CFO title has already been changed since you made the request.
- For net income, it appears the amount listed is the net income attributable to Verizon, rather than controlling interests. I'm guessing it was unintentional, so going ahead and making the change. But I'm pinging @Ptrnext, who put that number in, just in case that was intentional. meamemg (talk) 18:03, 26 March 2026 (UTC)
bell atlantic
[edit]would it be helpful to split off bell atlantic from verizon? Thebuggygamer (talk) 20:27, 1 April 2026 (UTC)
- No. Because it's the same company. oknazevad (talk) 19:47, 3 April 2026 (UTC)
- NYNEX and GTE were separate companies for, respectively, several years and several decades. Bell Atlantic, in contrast, is the one that ate up those other companies, so it is continuous since the Bell System breakup. Jim.henderson (talk) 00:54, 11 April 2026 (UTC)
- Not really needed- under AT&T it was a monopoly. Now under Verizon its back to being another monopoly under a different name with no choices of phone providers again. It's all the same. CaribDigita (talk) 14:27, 10 July 2026 (UTC)
Subscriber numbers
[edit]| This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
Hello, this is Jamie again.
I noticed that subscriber numbers have been updated on the Verizon (wireless service) article but not this page. For context, in the introduction it says: 146.1 million subscribers as of June 30, 2025.
The most recent numbers are: 146.8 million subscribers as of March 31, 2026[1] (reference used here is the one from the current on Verizon (Wireless) article)
