The concerns about security and usability in the initial overview section seem unduly focused on COVID-19 passports. If they're included, perhaps they should be in a 'criticisms' section as with other articles? The comments in the 'trust model' section about out-of-state licenses and alcohol could also go in this section. Making these changes would improve readibility Dajbelshaw (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 06:30, 26 January 2024 (UTC)
"As adopted by SAML"?
[edit]In the "Decentralization" section, as of writing, you can find this:
"This contrasts with the federated identity management (FIM) model, as adopted by SAML and OpenID Connect...".
Thing is, SAML is to XML what JWT is for JSON, which makes that statement reads like nonsense since you can't really say SAML adopts the FIM model anymore than you could say VCs adopt JWT.
Was that sentence meant to state FIM makes use of SAML, similar to how VCs use JWT for handling proofs? Was it supposed to link to a different SAML page there's no disambiguation for? Something else entirely?2A0C:5A81:8505:C00:D5C4:A370:8F72:4294 (talk) 21:55, 17 August 2025 (UTC)
