Split

This article should be split into Sang Lee International Open and a new Verhoeven Open article. There is no relationship between these tournaments; one was a tournament series from 2005–2008, the other is a different but vaguely similar tournament series from 2012 onward. The present article should be moved back to Sang Lee International Open and the new article created at Verhoeven Open; this will preserve the edit history of the present article as Sang Lee International Open before it was inappropriately renamed to Verhoeven Open.  — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽^ʌⱷ҅_ᴥⱷ^ʌ≼  02:34, 16 July 2016 (UTC)

Disagreement

It is not right, that these are two different tournaments. It is generally known that the Verhoeven Open is the successor of Sang Lee Open. Kozoom as the official rapporteur & Broadcasting company of UMB & CEB, mentioned (e.g. ). I had several opportunities during various tournaments to talk with the Official of UMB & CEB on this subject, e.g. with Wolfgang Rittmann† (until his death this year member of the board of the CEB and UMB) and the former sports director and current president of UMB Farouk El Barki. Probably there can be found some more references in English, than the specified one by me, which set forth that way. Confirmation

My co-author and participant Carambol spoke with Michael Kang at this year's tournament (2016) about the naming. Kang confirmed that the Sang Lee Open was renamed at the 2012 re-edition by the organizer Dragons Promotions (sponsoring reasons).
