The first appearance of Venom is actually in "The Comics Journal" #85 which was printed in 1983. Page 14, top left corner. It would also be the first appearance of Spiderman in his "black costume".

Reasoning, Venom is the "suit", which we find out later, but finding out later doesn't negate the fact that the black suite is Venom. the article reads that spiderman will be getting a "new suit", this "new suit" would later on be known as venom. The picture on page 14 of "the Comics Journal" clearly shows spiderman, in a black costume, a.k.a, Venom, so technically, and I guess, facually, The Comics journal #85 IS the very first appearance of Spiderman in "the black suit" AND the first appearance of Venom. 24.72.8.116 (talk) 04:16, 14 September 2023 (UTC)

 Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. While this reasoning looks sound, implementing based upon this would in my mind be original research. Fix some spelling mistakes

I noticed a few spelling mistakes while reading, and thought I would change them, but apparently don't have the ability to do so.

In the description of Michelinie's script it reads: "...his lopsided animal smile stretcaing to the point where it almost connects behind his head..." stretcaing should be "stretching". I also noticed another mistake earlier, but would have to read through the article again to remember what it was. TorQueMoD (talk) 08:27, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
