I've removed the image File:Gps tracking geofence.png from the article because it is a non-free image, but doesn't have a rationale as to why it should be included in this article. Normally I'd try to write one, but I'm not sure it is possible as the article stands, as it seems to have been used to illustrate a single sentence in the article, which links to an article that does incorporate the image, so I'm not sure it is really needed here. But I could be wrong. :) If someone who knows the topic better feels that it is needed here, and if it meets the requirements of the policy, I've got no hassles with someone adding a rationale and putting it back. - Bilby (talk) 16:07, 29 June 2011 (UTC)

Edit request: add Traccar as device-agnostic example

I'm disclosing a conflict of interest per WP:COI - I'm affiliated with the Traccar project mentioned in this proposed edit.

This section names three specific platforms as examples of the two business models it describes - Geotab and Mix Telematics (bundled), and Wialon (device-agnostic) - but all three are proprietary/commercial. Self-hosted, open-source software is a distinct and well-established option in this space that the section doesn't currently reflect at all. Adding Traccar as a second device-agnostic example, alongside Wialon, would give the passage a more complete picture of the available options rather than only proprietary ones.

Current text: In contrast, other platforms are device-agnostic, such as Wialon, meaning they are designed to be compatible with a wide variety of tracking devices from different hardware manufacturers.
