I took the liberty of rewording the section on this. Unfortunately it was worded in a manner that looked like an advert for the stations. Gold Color

Towards the beginning, there is the phrase "They have gold color." I'd very much like to see it written as "The color of Vectran is a golden yellow." The original phrase seems, er, cumbersome. 88.112.37.71 (talk) 20:24, 27 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disadvantages

I would dispute that there is much similarity between Vectran and Kevlar. Vectran has significantly higher tensile strength and modulus. When part of a well designed triaxial braided tube, it has significantly better hoop strength, far lower linear expansion and the lowest creep of all technical ballistic style fibres. As the inventor of the highest pressure capable layflat hose in the world, I have tested Spectra (which I happen to know how to cause it to be assembled with polar adhesives), TWaron, and Kevlar as possible solutions, Vectran is superior in every aspect.
