Valve Float as a Consequence of Excessive Inertia Force

[edit]

This might be a better post on a engine forum, but is the only way to compensate for valve float to increase spring force or to decrease the rpm of the engine? Does the spring force have to equal the inertia force required for the valve stem follower to remain in contact with the cam? I also think that this information would be appropriate in this article.--IanVG (talk) 14:35, 31 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
