Update on marital status, entrepreneurship, and professional works in progress

[edit]

I would like to propose a series of updates for the entry on American actress Valorie Mae Curry.

Personal Life: 1: Entrepreneurship: In 2017, prior to her appearance on the New York Comicon 2018 Pop Culture Witches panel (https://radiopublic.com/the-writers-panel-8XRN2q/s1!cbf73) and coming out as a practicing witch herself, Valorie Curry opened a small business based in Brooklyn. Defining itself as a "Metaphysical Apothecary for Herbal Goods and Magical Supplies", Delight and Havoc established a presence on Etsy (https://www.etsy.com/shop/DelightAndHavoc) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/DelightAndHavoc). I understand that there is also an Instagram page where she discusses spells, some rituals, and how to use some of the products she manufactures. "Coven Made and Coven Blessed" is their tagline. However, it seems that the shop has gone on hiatus since August 4, 2022.

2: Marital Status. Valorie Curry filed for divorce from Sam Lewis Underwood in November of 2022. The uncontested divorce was finalized in Ulster County NY in April 2023. Access to the actual records and details is not possible under NY law. However, the property records are quite clear in the change in her relationships. Professional Life: In 2022 Valorie Curry completed filming an adaptation of the Joshua Max Feldman novel "Start Without Me". Starring as the female lead "Marissa" and acting opposite Finn Witrock as "Adam", the film is currently in postproduction with no release date set. (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt23648174/)

I think these updates and additions will help create a more robust entry and fill out the actors profile less as a mere line entry and more as the person she really is. As this is my first time working with Wikipedia, please advise if there is anything that either needs expansion upon or conversely, doesn't meet any of the criteria for publication. Update to Gender Status

[edit]

As of 01 Jun 2024, Valorie Curry has clarified her sexual identity and has come out as a lesbian.

I couldn't find a better source, so I updated to queer as Curry also states it in the IG story. ภץאคгöร 14:56, 7 June 2024 (UTC)Reply

Reverting addition of date of birth

[edit]

I have reverted the addition of a date of birth, restoring the "birth based on age as of date" template in the lead and infobox. The date that was added was cited to IMDb, which is not a reliable source, as indicated in WP:IMDB and WP:USERGENERATED. If a date of birth is added to this biography of a living person, it needs to be accompanied by a citation to a published, reliable, non-primary source. Missed opportunity

[edit]

You could've formatted it as "her credits include the following:" 2001:4BC9:911:33BC:2:2:911F:60E2 (talk) 11:14, 1 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Reverting addition of date of birth again

[edit]

I have reverted the addition of a date of birth to the lead because it was unsourced. The citation immediately following the placement of the date points to a source that gives her age but (as far as I can see) does not give her date of birth. Therefore, use of "(born 1985 or 1986)" is appropriate. If someone can find the date of birth in the WWD article, please let me know where you found it. Otherwise, we need an additional source (published, reliable, and non-primary) to accompany such a date if and when it is added to the article. Eddie Blick (talk) 22:22, 25 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
