This is my great-great grandfather. I know many interesting things from family history, but obviously do not have any citation for those. Supposedly his father was either a nephew or bastard son of Alexander Griboyedov, or possibly a younger brother, he was born in Russia, moved to France, and later to the US. He fathered three sons, one born in each country. The last one, my great-grandfather, Reginald Gribayedoff, was born while the family was vacationing in New Jersey. Rumors are that a mistress was involved. Each of the sons fought in WWI for their respective country, Russia, France and the US. Supposedly Valerian was called the Father of Illustration for his work in the newspapers.
These are the family history stories, if anyone can find something substantiating some of them, I'd love to have more to the story in here. As of now, since they are just oral tradition, I dont see a way to include them on the wikipedia page. --Estrill5766 (talk) 22:45, 7 November 2009 (UTC)Reply
