Dixie State UniversityUtah Tech University – University changed name. While the legal name change doesn't take place until midnight July 01, 2022. For ALL intents and purposes, They have changed their name. It's not just an announced future brand, ALL URLs, all social media, have transitioned to their new name. In all public aspects the name of this university is now Utah Tech University. GrantBess (talk) 03:49, 20 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • Support Given that the institution has already made this transition and it's clear that others will follow (as shown by the citations we already have from some news media), I'd be comfortable with this move. I'm not thrilled with doing it before the name change actually occurs and I'd recommend waiting until that happens but I won't lose sleep if someone jumps the gun by a few days. • Support: Maybe I'm being a bit subjective about it, but the university itself has already switched everything over, and it's hard for me to imagine that this change is reversible. This is a state university, not some little self-governing institution. As far as I am concerned, the official date of the transition is pretty irrelevant  that seems like more of a matter of legality paperwork than anything else. —BarrelProof (talk) 15:41, 21 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support because there is no way that every RS does not follow suit. It may be necessary to have the lead read Utah Tech University, known as Dixie State University until July 1, 2022, ... Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 03:03, 22 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support per above. Since the university has changed its forward-facing name, there's no reason not to move the page. — Dale Arnett (talk) 22:25, 24 May 2022 (UTC)Reply
