Early medieval is incorrect

[edit]

In the section on Medieval Europe there is "In the early medieval period, most new universities were founded from pre-existing schools". With the University of Bologna being the first "University" and being founded after the 10 century I'm pretty sure that this should be "high medieval" instead. Can someone with a better history background back me up there? Poshul (talk) 08:05, 15 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Yes, this should probably be high medieval. Possibly something like "Most of the early universities of the high medieval period were founded from pre-existing schools" would capture the original intent better than a straight swap of high for early.
