It’s far right

[edit]

It’s has many far right elements Usydydjwhxyxhx (talk) 19:38, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please cite some reliable sources backing up your claims. Thanks, A09|(talk) 20:44, 31 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
No, this party is neither far-right nor even right-wing. Many of party members are open neo-Communists admiring USSR and Stalin, hating "nationalists, imperialists and Anglo Saxons". Russian nationalism is considered by United Russia as "a threat" - you would see any Putin's speech on this topic. TipTopUser (talk) 16:25, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
There can be considerable overlap between the far-left and the far-right. Much of the admiration for the USSR comes less from an ideological perspective and more from romanticising Russia's place on the world stage in that era. Also what they say is somewhat irrelevant given that disinformation is a major weapon of theirs. — Czello (music) 17:12, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
However, rhetoric matters, especially for definition of party's political position. Right-wing (including far-right) parties are against Communism, against mass immigration, against Leftists. Unlike United Russia that has never transmitted such or similar narratives. Instead of them we could hear about Anglo-Saxon imperialists, Western racists, suppression of African peoples, etcetera. TipTopUser (talk) 23:10, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Czello, let's achieve consensus about my edit :) The word "generally" is obviously redundant - there is no one reliable source calling united Russia as "far-right". And why does only Europe need to be mentioned there? In Asia, Africa and Latin America, United Russia supports left-wing parties including ruling ones. It could be seen in countries like China (whose Communist party is United Russia's closest ally), Cuba, Venezuela, and many others. TipTopUser (talk) 14:41, 24 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
The average self-proclaimed "Communist" in Russia is quite simply a Russian Nationalist who erroneously believes that the USSR was "Big Russia" and therefore good. They don't actually support Communist principles in any way. Putin regularly badmouths Lenin and the only reason Stalin is seen favorably is because he was more conservative than Lenin and was the leader during a time period when they were being invaded by a genocidal army hellbent on the extermination of all Slavic people and turning Moscow into a lake. Alledgedly "right-wing" affiliation

[edit]

Hello, friends. Now in the article it's said that "United Russia is supportive of far-right parties throughout Europe". But it is a very controversial claim. Parties like Brothers of Italy or Swedish Democrats are often considered as "far-right", but have never been supported by United Russia. Moreover, many European far-rights are considered by United Russia as "neo-Nazis" and enemies.

And it's need to be said that United Russia is not a right-wing party. Many members and supporters of the party admire Soviet Communists and Stalin. Russian Communist party (KPRF) is de-facto an ally of United Russia. Russian state TV praises Stalin, Beriya and foreign Communist leaders.

European right-wing parties never support immigration from Asia. While in Russia, there are millons of such migrants. They arrived during United Russia and Putin's leadership. And many of them already received Russian passports.

In addition, United Russia supports left-wing parties in many countries, includind China, Venezuela, North Korea.

Therefore, I would like to suggest making this misleading claims about "right-wing" or even "far-right" relations more neutral or removing them. Sincerely, TipTopUser (talk) 17:14, 19 January 2025 (UTC)Reply

Specifically, I suggest either deleting the phrase "While it is generally not considered a far-right party, United Russia is supportive of far-right parties throughout Europe", or replacing it by one of the next variants:
1) "While not being a far-right party, United Russia is supportive of anti-Western and anti-Liberal parties all over the world, including some European far-right parties".
2) "United Russia expresses support for a wide range of anti-Western and anti-Liberal parties all over the world". TipTopUser (talk) 12:16, 20 January 2025 (UTC)Reply
Done. I changed it to the second option as the use of far-right is a considerably diluted and subjective term right now. As for the removal of right wing and conservative labels and the addition of United Russia supporting leftist parties, you'll have to find reliable sources for that before anyone can add it. God bless, Mario. M. (talk) 11:50, 20 February 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thank you! I could suggest some sources about supporting Chinese Communist party by United Russia:
https://www.idcpc.org.cn/english2023/ttxw_5749/202212/t20221229_159155.html
https://mid.ru/en/foreign_policy/news/1889118/ "To give you an example, the United Russia Party is quickly strengthening international ties with the Communist Party of China"
http://duma.gov.ru/en/news/58359/
And all the above is just a little bit - there are also left-wing parties from Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea. We cannot ignore this, mentioning only European far-rights :)
Maybe the best way would be removing this sentence, so as not to overload it with adding information about CPC and others?
In any case, mentioning only support for far-rights looks to be misleading. TipTopUser (talk) 20:50, 8 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
It is also supportive of some far-left parties and politicians in Europe; why not mention that? Zilch-nada (talk) 12:30, 12 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
uhmmm, about the political party Brothers of Italy, another italian far right party, the LSP had some members that showed support for Putin policies, this created some internal problems inside the right coalition that is governing Italy with Brothers of Italy supporting Ukraine under a sort of moderate far right ideology that agree with far right policies until them become dangerous for NATO/EU security and defence from Russia, this internal conflict is similar to the recent one between Elin Musk and Donald Trump and the Assadist Saddamist conflict or the Sino-Soviet split Boackandwhite (talk) 20:45, 10 March 2025 (UTC)Reply
