Major rewrite

I just recovered this article (which had been - correctly - PROD'd as a puff piece) and done a major rewrite. See the article history for what I did, but one cut especially merits note here. I cut the following: "The plays presented have been honored with numerous Pulitzer Prizes, Obie Awards, and Tony Awards." No doubt they have, but I can't find citation that ACT's productions of these plays were at all associated with the awards. Often, this is a matter of ACT presenting an a play that already won awards. If someone has clear citation for ACT (for example) premiering a play that won a Pulitzer, etc., please do add that to the article. As for Tonys: to the best of my knowledge, as of 2009, ACT stands out only in the negative. Both the Seattle Rep and Intiman have won the annual Tony for a regional theater, ACT has not. - Jmabel | Talk

Merge with Seattle Shakespeare

Hello dear friends who edit Wikipedia,

I am a long-time editor of wikis, cutting my teeth as an editor of the Homestar Runner wiki when I was a teenager. I also happen to be an employee of what is now Union Arts Center, the company that was formed when ACT Theatre and Seattle Shakespeare Company merged in I believe 2024 (though maybe it didn't become official until 2025). I no longer maintain an account on Wikipedia, but I believe this recent history is not at all reflected in this page, and as a result is not reflected in the page listing LORT theatres, which is important because I believe the current roster of LORT theatres is a frequent topic of study for young theatre professionals and students. I would like to start the process of updating this page and potentially moving it to its more proper name, Union Arts Center, but I recognize that these edits being done by an account that hasn't been used in multiple years would likely result in them being quickly undone by a moderator. As such, I am announcing my intentions to make these edits now, before I find the appropriate citations, so that any moderators who might see those kind of changes and automatically distrust them since they were made by an account of my nature may see that I have the best of intentions and that this is definitely a real thing that these two companies merged together.
