[edit]What does this mean? "But a pastoral instruction of Noailles forbade his priests under pain of suspension to accept the Bull without his authorization; that was condemned by Rome." Taking the 1800 figure, that's $167 per person. Is that a lot of money? I wonder where the word "pitifully" fits in. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 00:49, 15 February 2014 (UTC)
