This article is a quick fail. The article has, or needs, cleanup banners that are unquestionably still valid. Specifically, the lead:

  • Contains {{citation needed}} tags;
  • Contains a number of other statements without citations to reputable sources.

An example is the entire paragraph "This draft also creates hopes for the LGBTQIA+ community in India as it does not differentiate between individuals based on their sex, gender, or sexual orientation. Same-sex marriages are not recognised legally by any applicable law in India till now." There is no citation to a reputable source.

MOS:LEAD has some excellent guidance on how to construct a lead. Particularly, the lead should be a summary of the article. This means that often the lead does not have any citations as everything is already cited and referenced int the body. I feel a rewrite of the lead and additional information in the body to support the statements in the lead is necessary before the article is submitted to a full review. However, I also feel that the article would merit being a Good Article and would encourage a resubmission once the submitter has completed the necessary work. simongraham (talk) 10:53, 6 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
