Talk:Unbeatable strategy

You stated who defined the concept of unbeatable strategy, but not what that definition is.

That makes this article gibberish to a layman. Please elucidate-

First use of unbeatable that I can see appears near top of first column of pg 481, but Hamilton's exact "definition" of the term doesn't appear to be made explicit anywhere, except in the sentences I put in the main article. Looks like this page hasn't seen much action recently... I removed the claim that unbeatable implies ESS, as this claim is not referenced and does not follow from Hamilton's definition. It's also a non sequitur, as the previous statements say that "unbeatable" is ill-defined. While some people take "unbeatable strategy" to be equivalent to "dominant strategy" (and on this view, it would strictly imply ESS), this definition is not supported by Hamilton 1967. Maybe a good next step for this article would be a short list of all the ways in which people have tried to define "unbeatable". Also of interest would be the relationship to the concept of "unexploitable strategy" that Hamilton also defines. Tinntinnabulation (talk) 18:22, 14 May 2009 (UTC)
