Everyone thinks he was a terrific character for taking sea scouts across the channel without their parents's permission (or passports) and other poieces of lovable eccentricity which make up jolly stories, especially as he was a chum of Royalty. Apparently he used to get into fights and beat men senseless when he wanted to have their wives. My mother told me he trained his dog to sniff up women's skirts. He tried it on with my mother too, but she would have beat him up if he had not backed off. She always called him "That dirty bastard". Unfortunately my mother does not count as a "source" so I cannot put this in the article.--Streona (talk) 07:54, 21 July 2008 (UTC)
