Launch date incorrect.
[edit]Ship was launched at 1:00 PM on Nov 18, 1944 at Bethlehem Shipyard, Hingham, MA. My father launched her and I have the engraved launch pin with that date on it. 2601:703:4201:3730:3909:B74E:93A5:6B6D (talk) 02:52, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
Battle E
[edit]Sphinx was awarded the Battle E by CINCLANTFLT when I was aboard her 3/86-4/87. She was also awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for service off the coast of El Salvador and Nicaragua. 137.119.93.117 (talk) 01:37, 14 July 2023 (UTC)
