The article says “She had an additional five-inch/25-caliber deck gun, as well as two 24-tube five-inch (127 mm) rocket launchers.

I can find no references to the united states ever using a five-inch rocket. However, the M16 (rocket) appears to be similar in every way, even being the latest in rocket launcher technology at the time of Requin’s launch, but that it fires a four point five inch rocket. Did we perhaps loose a word somewhere? Or is their a navy artillery rocket that isn’t listed?
