Not to diminish the reputation of the 76th Ohio; however, Dyer credits the First Nebraska with capturing the “CSS Fair Play.” (Dyer, Frederick H. A Compendium of the War of the Rebellion, Part III. Des Moines: Dyer Publishing Company, 1908. Page 1344.) Mostly likely both regiments participated in the capture. Twinstars0 (talk) 17:08, 13 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
