Samuel Dushkin?
[edit]Grove V says that Samuel Dushkin gave the first performance of the original version in Amsterdam in 1925. I guess they were wrong. -- JackofOz (talk) 10:28, 30 October 2009 (UTC)
Beveridge Webster
[edit]His article says: Webster gave the first performance of Ravel's "Tzigane" in 1924.
What can this mean? That he participated in the first American performance? And if so, who was the violinist? -- Jack of Oz [Talk] 23:09, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
Roger Nichols and Robert Orledge
[edit]Roger Nichols and Robert Orledge have both noted Tzigane is not one of Ravel's compositionally great works.
Well, that just about settles it. It's perplexing how anyone would dare disrespect the opinion of such experts even by just creating a Wikipedia page for such an inferior piece of music. 🙄 Toddcs (talk) 23:52, 26 May 2025 (UTC)
