Two level system noise?

Qubits and other quantum electronics often suffer from noise when uncontrolled two level systems couple into them, often referred to as two-level system or TLS noise. Should that be added as a topic to this page, or is there another page about electronic noise that would be more appropriate, or does it warrant its own page?

In an engineering context such as this, the relevant features of two-level systems are very different than those that are interesting in the broader physics context. EmmaKBat (talk) 17:19, 16 September 2025 (UTC)Reply

Statistical mechanics missing!

Just now I was thinking of linking to this from Schottky anomaly, however the expected content about the thermal statistics of two level systems is totally absent from this page. The two level system is a classic simple example of a thermal system. Besides being relevant in some materials' cryogenic heat capacities, it is also the classic simple case for demonstrating negative temperature. --Nanite (talk) 01:54, 18 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
