Barnes

[edit]

Who the heck is "Barnes"? --Duemellon 16:47, 24 July 2006 (UTC)Reply

Agreed. Without any other reference, Tusko loved Barnes and when he left the elephant became completely unmanageable makes no sense. I am removing it.ZebulonNebulon 18:30, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

The Meanest Elephant

[edit]

The Meanest Elephant is listed as Tusko's description on List of Historical Elephants.

LSD

[edit]

LSD links here for an Elephant suspected to have died of an LSD overdose in an experiment. But that Elephant is not listed ...

Why did anyone administer LSD to an elephant? -ErinHowarth (talk) 18:34, 5 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
It was the 60s. --87.82.207.195 (talk) 12:16, 15 January 2013 (UTC)Reply
It was thought that LSD could excite elephants into a state known as thrush. However aside from the dose being massive the elephant was also injected with sodium pentathol, part of the lethal injection cocktail use din state sanctioned executions. Also Jolly West, the researcher was an M.K. Ultra researcher.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2605:E000:1314:43E7:C030:D1D5:1BC6:D3D (talk) 17:41, 15 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Tagged this as a WP:CHIMERA article. Individual elephants should be moved to their own article or deleted as non-notable. Fountains of Bryn Mawr (talk) 22:47, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

I think there may be a more notable “Tusko” elephant. ~2026-41599-14 (talk) 18:48, 26 July 2026 (UTC)Reply
