Ethnic groups are unrealistic

[edit]

Those Tunisia “ethnic groups” percentages don’t represent reality. They treat Tunisia as almost entirely “Arab,” when most Maghreb populations are largely indigenous North African by ancestry, and “Arab” is often a language/identity label rather than an origin. Tunisians aren’t the same as Levantine or Gulf Arabs, so collapsing everyone into “Arab” hides the country’s real roots. These numbers need revision or at least proper context. ~2026-42033-5 (talk) 02:15, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

What reliable sources do you believe have correct figures and why are the figures in the existing cited source(s) not accurate? This has been discussed here before: In addition, see the introduction to the article on Arabs, particularly the footnote at Arabs#cite_note-78. Largoplazo (talk) 04:07, 20 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

North Africa

[edit]

There is a discussion at Talk:North_Africa#Recent_additions_(January_2026) that could do with more input. Thanks. M.Bitton (talk) 16:07, 1 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Change the tenth and eleventh paragraphs of the "Antiquity" subsection of the "History" section to either include citations or be removed. As I recall, the "granary of the empire" was Tripoli, which is west of Tunisia. Skybnnue (talk) 16:47, 20 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
