[edit]Someone added this:
"A tumi is also a ceremonial Incan knife, an is the national smbol of Peru. On November 21, 2006, archaeologists announced that they had unearthed 22 graves in northern Peru containing a trove of pre-Inca artifacts, including the first "tumi" ceremonial knives ever discovered by archaeologists rather than looted by thieves."
This is what I came here looking for, but obviously this needs to be a different stub paired with a disambiguation page.
- Done. I was looking for that as well. Rmhermen 14:18, 22 November 2006 (UTC)

Hello editors, I am submitting a factual update request for Tumi Inc. to reflect the parent company's updated legal name (Samsonite Group S.A.) and current global operations:
1. In the Infobox, please update the `parent` field to: Samsonite Group S.A. (2016–present)
2. At the end of the History / Operations section, please add: Acquired by Samsonite Group S.A. in 2016 for US$1.8 billion, TUMI operates as the group's luxury travel and lifestyle brand and is distributed in over 75 countries.[1] Since 2019, the brand has expanded its hard-side luggage lines—including the 19 Degree aluminum and recycled polycarbonate collections—and entered multi-year luggage partnerships with McLaren Racing and the PGA Tour.[2]
Thank you! Bsamaey (talk) 08:45, 29 September 2026 (UTC)
