Commercial link in article body — Guideline concern

[edit]

Hi everyone,

I noticed the phrase "Manaslu Circuit Trek" in the main article body is currently hyperlinked to a commercial trekking company website: https://www.placesnepal.com/trip/manaslu-circuit-trek

Per Wikipedia guidelines WP:ELNO, commercial links to tour operator websites should not appear in article body text.

I would suggest one of these fixes:

Option 1 — Link to the Wikipedia article instead: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manaslu_Circuit

Option 2 — Remove the external link entirely and keep "Manaslu Circuit Trek" as plain text, with a proper reference added to the References section.

For Option 2, I would like to suggest this source as a reference covering the Manaslu Circuit route, its connection to Tsum Valley, and permit requirements:

https://intrekking.com/trip/manaslu-circuit-trekking/

I am disclosing that I have a connection to this website. I am raising this on the Talk page rather than editing directly, following Wikipedia's COI guidelines.
