This merge seems so obvious I don't really know what to say about it. The two articles are so closely related, I feel that there isn't really any point in keeping them separate. miranda :3 06:53, 3 March 2025 (UTC)

- Agree: The question is the target ... perhaps Trywork is better, on the grounds that it is the most distinctive term, unlikely to be confused with other meanings. Try pot is no doubt a slogan that has been used for other purposes. Klbrain (talk) 18:33, 2 April 2025 (UTC)

Spelling
[edit]After searching well-known sources (Melville, Starbuck, Morrison, Hohman, Ashley, Chatterton), it seems that the subject of this article is most commonly called a "try-works", with a hyphen and a final s. I have also found it spelled "try works", no hyphen and a final s (The Oxford Companion to Ships and the Sea). "Tryworks", one word with a final s is in Mirriam Webster. What I have never seen is the term without a final s, as it is now in this article. I am changing the title to the most commonly used term and listing the alternatives. But "trywork" is out.
