There is missing information about the holocaust and the fate of the Jews of this city. At least one Jew from this town is listed at Yad Vashem as murdered in the Nazi T4 "euthenasia project". See here in the German Wikipedia about art commemorating people from the town murdered by the Nazis. According to that article no Jews lived in the town prior to 1945. Jews in the vicinity stayed after working in forced labor camps and factories during the war. See document here. A prominent Nazi financial leader was re-established as an honorary member of the city, ignoring his pro-Nazi conduct during AND AFTER the war.
