Stephen Fraser
[edit]I removed the brief mention of Stephen Fraser as it seems extraneous without additional detail -- a brief search of the wiki and Google did not turn up information about who he is, or why we should care that he is from Troon. The way the first two sentences are constructed is confusing - to say there are two places called Troon and then state that 'It is situated on the west coast, about eight miles north of Ayr' is wrong. Which one are we talking about? I know it's the Troon in Scotland but the first two sentences should be rewritten to make this clear. Also, the census results don't show a 100.8% increase as stated. They show a 4.7% increase, or alternatively the 2001 population is 104.7% of the 1991 population (which would be a pretty strange way of putting it). Bmxrejects 00:17, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
Alan Hutton doesn't actually live in Troon as far as I'm aware. I know he use to and his family live here and I've also seen him about but im not so sure he actually resides in Troon. Can anyone back that up?
Crosbie Castle and Fullerton Estate
[edit]The entire sections on the Crosbie Castle and Fullerton Estate seem to be duplicated from other wikipedia entries and need to be removed - a single paragraph would suffice. There is nothing about the Town's beaches, its churches, its schools, etc. South Beach and Barassie are two of Scotland's most popular locations for windsurfing and kitesurfing, and there is of course the small matter of the town's golf courses... The seacat section should be rewritten into a section about the port in general (rather than being an advert for seacat).
