I like trituration. I use it everyday. Toe Jam and Earl like it, too. For a reference, see Toe Jam and Earl's Magnificent Space Adventures. Love, Sealicus (talk) 02:06, 3 July 2008 (UTC)ШацихокоReply

500 mg handling

[edit]

I fels this does not seem right so I tested it.

I have just opened a vegetarian capsule of Ajinomoto's triptophane from local vitamines shop, it has exactly 500. mg of triptophane, which matches the label. Other capsules of similar geometry also have 500. mg of stuff, but they are sometimes triturated. So this statement that 500 mg handling is difficult is misleading - pharmacologists seem to have one 500 mg loading device for everything, 500 mg is perfect mass for handling then. No citation, I just tried it myself, but please consider this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.42.219.44 (talk) 03:45, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

You are quite right. I've changed the text so it now refers to Levonorgestrel, which at 30 micrograms per dose is a much better example of the need for trituration. - Pointillist (talk) 08:06, 22 August 2013 (UTC)Reply

Another use of trituration

Oliver Sacks quoted Darwin: . . .the power which worms exert in triturating particles of rock. . . . The River of Consciousness, p 61 2601:80:4801:D0D0:5974:C9B1:F41B:3E94 (talk) 20:37, 15 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
