Wrong Episode Crediting in Filmography

[edit]

Change notes section for Trisha's credit on 'Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!' to say 'Episode: "Puberty"' from the current 'Episode: "Lucky"'. 'Puberty' is the actual episode she appears in - she does not appear in 'Lucky'. 193.116.97.22 (talk) 12:15, 22 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Add information about her Oversharing podcast with Colleen Ballinger, and how it ended after two episodes due to Trisha finding out that Colleen lied to her about illegally distributing her OnlyFans content to children. Shuwus (talk) 05:13, 6 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Change the last sentence in the introduction "Following multiple accusations of sexism and racism, she quit Twitter and later returned to it to apologize for the texts" to "Following multiple accusations of sexism and racism, she quit Twitter and later returned to it to apologize for the comments that prompted the accusations" or something similar. No mention of the texts is made prior to that sentence. It can say comments or texts. This could also be changed to "Following multiple accusations of sexism and racism prompted by a leaked text exchange, she quit Twitter and later returned to it to apologize for the texts." 98.118.9.141 (talk) 21:33, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

Partly done: Refactored sentence in my own way to fulfil spirit of the request. Also added a bit more context in general. —Sirdog (talk) 00:23, 27 July 2024 (UTC)Reply

To the "2018–2022: Concert tour and Frenemies" section, add:

In 2020, Paytas founded the pop-punk emo band Sadboy2005, featuring Social Repose as a guitarist. They released a self-titled debut EP the same year, followed by "Trigger Warning" in 2021.[1][2]

FitAndMysterious, your two refs result in "Unsupported browser" so need the app apparently. Also, do you have good secondary sources? Quaerens-veritatem (talk) 03:06, 31 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
The Spotify links work for me in Chrome and Firefox, I don't think you need the Spotify app to see them, or an account.
As for secondary sources, I can think of these:

https://www.instagram.com/p/CXHC4cNvCbZ/

To add to article

[edit]

Basic information to add to this article (in order to help make it more properly encyclopedic): information about Paytas's parents and ethnic heritage. She has said publicly that her surname is Hungarian. 2603:6011:2701:51E8:5037:ED5F:DB29:4D31 (talk) 17:50, 8 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Is it permitted for the article to contain the names of the subject's children

[edit]

@Pillowdelight, Italianpasta999, and Strugglehouse: An editor keeps reverting other editors when they add the names of Trisha Paytas' children. He/she says: "Per WP:BIOFAMILY", "Per WP:BIOFAMILY it literally states — 'Articles about notable people that mention their family members in passing do not, in themselves, show that a family member is notable.' Her children are not notable — meaning they cannot be mentioned period. If to have an issue take it the talk page.", "Do not revert this per WP:BIOFAMILY".

The policy WP:BIOFAMILY says: Being related to a notable person in itself confers no degree of notability upon that person. Articles about notable people that mention their family members in passing do not, in themselves, show that a family member is notable. The policy Wikipedia:Notability (people) says: On Wikipedia, notability is a test used by editors to decide whether a given topic warrants its own article.

WP:BLPREQUESTDELETE is also of interest. This talks about how people can request the deletion of biographies of themselves, and explains the criteria for admins doing so. It ends by saying: Deletion under this section does not prevent a person from being mentioned in other articles, nor prevent a redirect from being created from their name to somewhere they are mentioned, although this policy's privacy section may apply in some cases.

WP:BLPPRIVACY says: The presumption in favor of privacy is strong in the case of family members of articles' subjects and other loosely involved, otherwise low-profile persons. The names of any immediate, former, or significant family members or any significant relationship of the subject of a BLP may be part of an article, if reliably sourced, subject to editorial discretion that such information is relevant to a reader's complete understanding of the subject.[a] Names of family members who are not also notable public figures must be removed from an article if they are not properly sourced.

  1. This is generally interpreted by the community to include the removal of names of non-notable minors from articles about their notable family members, such as when a notable individual births or sires a non-notable minor. Notability is not presumed or inherited with extremely limited exception (such as heir to a throne or similar).

Pillowdelight has been citing the 'wrong policy when he/she reverted edits by Italianpasta999 and Strugglehouse. He/she should have cited WP:BLPPRIVACY footnote f.-- Toddy1 (talk) 09:16, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply

@Toddy1: I am not adding the "wrong" policy. I've seen many editors use that exact policy for notable people that mention siblings and children. You quoted WP:BIOFAMILY it states: Being related to a notable person in itself confers no degree of notability upon that person. Articles about notable people that mention their family members in passing do not, in themselves, show that a family member is notable. meaning just because they're related does not merit they need to be included by name.Pillowdelight (talk) 09:22, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Pillowdelight That policy is talking about individual articles. Of course Paytas' children shouldn't have their own articles, but there are tons of sources which mention their names, so they can be referenced for use on this article. Strugglehouse (talk) 09:26, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
It is a common error. All the policy Pillowdelight cited means is that editors cannot create articles on the family members unless they can show that the family members are notable in themselves. It is hardly surprising the editors reverted Pillowdelight repeatedly. -- Toddy1 (talk) 09:28, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Toddy1: @Strugglehouse: Like I said, I've seen many editors use that exact policy. The policy states: "Articles about notable people that mention their family members in passing do not, in themselves, show that a family member is notable." Paytas' children are not notable to merit their names to be mentioned. Where does that policy indicate anything about creating an article simply because their family member is notable? Pillowdelight (talk) 09:34, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Pillowdelight I would just say that it's clearly what the policy is saying. Establishing notability in terms of people means article creation. Sure, just because this article mentions the children, doesn't make them independently notable, but that's not what I or anyone else is saying. This policy does not say "don't write names". Strugglehouse (talk) 09:42, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Toddy1 Exactly. That policy does not say "don't put children's names", it says "don't create articles just because they're someone's children". No one is trying to create articles for them. Strugglehouse (talk) 09:34, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
@Strugglehouse: I am aware but the policy is not indicating anything about creating an article. That's why it's using the word mention regarding family members. Like I previously have said, I have come across editors using this policy for this exact scenario. Pillowdelight (talk) 09:51, 30 July 2025 (UTC)Reply
Hello @Pillowdelight:, @Italianpasta999:, @Strugglehouse:, @Toddy1:. Please note WP:NONAME, WP:NOTPUBLICFIGURE, WP:BLPNAME, WP:LOWPROFILE, NOT NOTABLE, NOT RELEVANT, WP:BLPPRIVACY, including WP:NONAME: "Do not name or otherwise identify the person, even if good sources do publish the name, when a more general description will suffice", WP:BLPNAME: presumption in favor of privacy is strong in the case of family members of articles' subjects and other loosely involved, otherwise low-profile persons", and WP:NOTPUBLICFIGURE: material on people who are not well known exercise restraint and include only material relevant to the person's notability, focusing on high-quality secondary sources. If reliably sourced, subject to editorial discretion that such information is relevant to a reader's complete understanding of the subject.
