There's a new Belgian band called Tripoli. They won the EA bandslam on JIMTV.

Tripoli is also a mineral, please create a page for the mineral tripoli --ShadowTale (talk) 23:56, 30 April 2010 (UTC)Reply

Tripoli (or Tripoley) is also a card game that uses a layout for betting. It's described as "a combination of hearts, poker and rummy" at reference.com. 173.174.85.204 (talk) 20:34, 4 April 2017 (UTC) EricReply

Propose merging Tarablus into this page

To not merge, as those reading in English are best served by having these remain separate. Klbrain (talk) 11:48, 29 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

There is full overlap in the contents of the pages. Tarablus is simply the Arabic form of the name Tripoli. Onceinawhile (talk) 13:04, 29 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

  • The overlap is small: for less than a third of the entries at Tripoli (disambiguation) is the Arabic version of the name relevant at all, and it's probably only a handful of those that an English speaker is ever likely to see referred to as "Tarablus". – Uanfala (talk) 08:45, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
For clarity, I oppose the proposal: only a small fraction of the entries at Tripoli can be referred to as "Tarablus", and the two dab terms are so different that it will be confusing for readers to disambiguate them in the same place (unlike singular and plurals, which are often combined on dab pages, here there's no easy way for readers to know which entries can be referred to by which term). – Uanfala (talk) 15:13, 11 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Support as merge and redirect - There are 4 links in the Tarablus article. Two are cities named Tripoli, with Tarablus descriptions that should be in the appropriate city articles, as well as to the Tripoli disambiguation. The other two are provinces of the Ottoman Empire, each centered on the two aforementioned cities. Again, this information should be added to the city articles. After that is done and/or verified, then redirect the Tarablus article to the Tripoli disambiguation. - UtherSRG (talk) 19:24, 10 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Agree with Uanfala's argument, this would imply that any Tripoli is referred to as Tarablus, which isn't necessarily the case. I don't see how a merge into a way more lengthy list would benefit people who simply look up the term 'Tarablus'. Oppose --Joy [shallot] (talk) 17:56, 22 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
  • Oppose per above. Libcub (talk) 05:58, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
