characterization

[edit]

Is there a wikipedia character for the triple bar?  Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.102.168.16 (talk) 21:42, 4 April 2005 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, this has to be in Unicode somewhere. --Twinxor 02:49, 15 Apr 2005 (UTC)

delete or merge?

[edit]

I ran across this article and started thinking about expanding it, but, I really couldn't see how. I'm not sure it's notable enough for its own article. does anyone have an objection if I nominate this for deletion, of suggest a merge into another page (mathematical symbols maybe, or equal sign). --Ludwigs2 05:11, 30 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

If you did that, would someone doing a search for 'for triple bar' (whether in search engine or Wikipedia search bar) offer the relevant article? It needs to be retrievable! Kitb (talk) 09:29, 9 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Triple vertical bar not mentioned

What about the triple vertical bar and turnstyles (Unicode U+2AFC, U+22AA and U+2AE2)? -- JakobVoss (talk) 16:32, 31 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Merger proposal

[edit]

and Triple bar are the same subject, Mi Ga (talk) 23:10, 23 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

I have removed the merge tag. They are not the same subject. One of them is an article about a mathematical symbol. Another of them is not even an article, it is a disambiguation page, designed to help wikipedia readers and editors find the correct link target (one of the meanings of this symbol, or the article about the symbol itself) when they run across a link to the symbol. —David Eppstein (talk) 01:32, 3 December 2014 (UTC)Reply
I did not study the articles history, but current state where the other (U+2261 IDENTICAL TO) named article refers to it as triple bar (only) too, is not ideal. --Mykhal (talk) 07:05, 9 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
